Cock-a-doodle-doo!

Yesterday, when the mail arrived I received a much-anticipated package! It was wrapped like this:

And it included this:

Isn't it beautiful? I entered and won one of two aprons that Lori, over at her Charlotte English Boutique Blog gave away. This is Lori's French Rooster apron and it is beautifully designed and sewn. Thank you again, Lori! To see more of Lori's beautiful creations, drop by her Charlotte English Boutique. I am saving my pennies so that I can purchase one of her one-of-a-kind children's dresses for my own little girl! They are fabulously feminine, classic creations.

Can you see my excitement?!!! My very first apron!

This is the beautiful lining of the apron, complete with a satin tag.

Close-up of the print. I love, love, love my new apron!

  1. Hi Val!
So nice to see a picture of you...you could be sister with my sister-in-law Christie! I'll have to show you a picture of her! Love the aprons and packaging! Congratulations. Your man is A.O.K. if he sqaured you away at Curious Sofa...total TROUBLE store and it's a hop from where I work!
I have been to Raised in Cotton and it was interesting driving out there. Cute shop. Was bummed out that Carol Spinski wasn't there because I wanted to meet her! Can't wait to read about your post!
    Sounds like a doozie!

  4. Thank you, Shannon! As you know, I am on the downward slide to 40 (less than 3 1/2 months)and beginning to panic. So...are you saying that if I do have one more baby, I won't look like the oldest roommother on the planet? LOL. Seriously, you just made my day!
