The next three days spent in the Tampa area found us staying on Treasure Island. We had so much fun enjoying the waves and eating deliciously fresh seafood!
This series of photos shows our fun hotel on Treasure Island close to St. Petersburg, Florida. We stayed at the famous Bilmar Hotel which has been fully restored to its 1950s-glory. My kids loved the retro look and feel to the lobby area with its neon colors, tile-work, and wall aquariums.
Beach Shots…
See that streak in the sky…yup, that’s the space shuttle. We were fortunate to be in town when the often-scrubbed Space Shuttle launch finally occurred. We were unfortunate in that it was overcast and hazy!
Dinner as a family at Crabby Bills. Chris and I ate there 16 years earlier on our honeymoon! Much more fun this time around!!!
The beach on Treasure Island at Sunset.
Wonderful pictures!
ReplyDeleteI think that was the shuttle with our swedish astronaut in it :-) I wish I could have been there to see the launch.
Have a great day now!
Christer.
