Summer Vacation: Days 10 & 11, Pensacola/Panhandle of Florida

Whew…if you’ve been following along with me, you’ve almost completed your whirlwind tour of the southeastern portion of the United States!  LOL

If your new to my blog, or just happened to stumble upon today’s post, don’t hesitate to enter my blogging anniversary give-away.  Check out this post to learn more about the give-away and what you need to do to enter.  But hurry up…contest ends at 5 PM CST TODAY!

Our last two days in Florida were spent in the Pensacola/Gulf Shores area of the Panhandle.  Actually, this was the first time in years that we did not vacation in Gulf Shores, AL.  We missed it so much, even though we had a fabulous time in the Tampa area, that we extended our vacation by a couple of days and found a last minute condo available for rent.  Thanks crappy economy…you actually worked in our favor!

Sibling love…if it was only this harmonious the entire car trip!

This next series of pictures speak for themselves.  These were captured as we drove the panhandle of Florida.  We were going to stop for lunch, but the concealed weapon permit signage, posted next to the deck-stairs for sale, on the corner by the crushed watermelon across from the MLK market, told us different.  LOL

Not a bad little place for a last minute reservation.

As my husband knows no stranger, we of course had to stop by a local fire station and meet a fire buddy he met at the National Fire Academy last January.

Love the blue/green waters of the Florida panhandle.

The water and sand (like sugar) is absolutely beautiful!

I think it´s something special with firemen. No matter where they are in the world they feel that all firefighters are like workmates :-) :-)

Not a bad last minute place at all :-)
    Have a great day now!

  2. Beautiful beach. It looks so warm and sunny and fun. It's cold here now and these pictures make me feel warm again!
