Change

It's been said,

"The more things change the more they stay the same."
(Alphonse Karr)

 I'd have to agree.

After a lot of thought...and some time away from my blog...I've decided to post in a new direction.

Ironically...it feels a bit like going back to my roots...or my original intent and purpose behind blogging...

...to share with my dear family and friends (and that does include many of you in blogland!) the goings on with my sweet little family in our beloved farmhouse here at the edge of the beautiful tallgrass prairie in Kansas.

I hope that you will continue to drop by for a visit...

...to see how much my kids have grown...or how we are updating "the farmhouse"...or what my newest  quilting project looks like...

...but just know this...

...you are always welcome here...regardless of your religious affiliation (or lack thereof)...size of family...philosophy on schooling...or employment status (I recently returned to work outside of the home!).

My desire is for this to be a kind and welcoming...cozy and calming...place to visit.

Hugs and Kisses,

    1. Awww, thanks, Kathleen! I am hoping to make some more changes in the coming days and weeks...although I probably shouldn't stay up until midnight on a "school night" like I did last night. :) LOL

  3. You know what? You have always posted in such a way, in my humble opinion. So to see a "changed" Valerie only can mean more kindness and gentleness :) Have a great weekend and a blessed Sunday!

    1. I'm paintin'...craftin'...sewin'...up a storm! Wishing I had more time on my hands...but loving having the money to do the things I want to do around the house! It's a double-edged sword! :)

Let's try to get together again...this time over here. Mary's old enough now to "babysit" and we can have another dinner date with the husbands. :) Email me dates that are good for you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Your kind words are appreciated! As Mother Teresa said, "Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love."
