Danish Butter Cookies Made Simple

When winter's chill sets in and you don't want to head out why not bake some from-scratch Danish butter cookies?

They're super easy, and most of us have these ingredients on hand.

Perfect with a cup of hot cocoa!

We sugared ours with pink...think Valentine's Day!

Basic Butter Cookie
1 stick of butter
1 cup of flour
5 tablespoons of sugar
1/4 teaspoons of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine softened butter with sugar, salt, and vanilla.  Gradually add in the flour.  (If mixture is too soft, place in refrigerator for a few minutes.)

Roll into quarter-size balls and place on cookie sheet.  Press down with fork.  Sprinkle with crystal sugar.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

  1. Yum! I'm gonna try these soon.

  2. Gotta get some stick butter.
Having a fun on a snow day?? Whooo Hoo!

We still need to plan our day.

  3. Mmm, yummy! Thanks for sharing.

  4. That looks like a great recipe...I may have to try it tomorrow! Thanks!

  5. They are sooooooo yummy!! I grew up eating a lot of those :-) :-) :-)

    Have a great day now!

  6. Oh these look yummy. I might try to make these with the Man Cub tomorrow. He likes to bake! I hope all your little ones are doing well and you as well!
