Monarchs

It's a life's work in building character."

Luke continues to grow as a player with his new team. Recently, he hit his first DOUBLE. Way to go, Luke!
Until last Tuesday's game, Luke had made contact with every at-bat, and for the past couple of weeks, those at-bats have translated to actual hits! Yes, this kid has schooled me on what counts as a hit. *smile*
Last night, his team had a baseball party to celebrate their mid-season 1st place landing. The boys are having quite a season, and like I said, Luke has grown so much; especially in hitting. He is also growing to love playing 1st base. He's got that ARM stretch! Anyway, his team bought a block of seats to watch the Kansas City Monarchs, Kansas City's Minor League Baseball team. Unfortunately, the game was rained out, but it was still a fun time!
Speaking of stretching, he now towers over his sister and me. He is going to be one tall man.
Besides baseball, Luke is very much into developing his culinary skills. So far we have been treated to his 4-cheese mac-n-cheese, filet mignon grilled cheese (OMGosh!), and now his buffalo and lemon-pepper chicken wings. This kid seasons them, grills them, then uses the air fryer on them. Amazing!
Summer sure has been fun having all three kiddos back under one roof.
