Beauty on Sunday…May Day Bouquets

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
 ~Philippians 4:8~

My Second Grader (Benjamin) has been blessed with two extraordinary teachers this year.

Mrs. G. is 20-something, married, childless, and "cutting edge" when it comes to "best practice" in the classroom.  She teaches Benjamin Math, Religion, Science, and Social Studies.

Mrs. M. is 50-something, married, mother of 10, former homeschooler for 20-something years - turned librarian - turned Catholic school teacher.  She is witty, PATIENT, no-nonsense.  *smile*  She teaches Benjamin Reading, Writing, Cursive, and Religion and believes in the "if it's not broke, don't fix it" philosophy of education.

Both teachers are amazing…and as different as night and day.  Yet, they are the perfect blend of sugar and spice!

Being the sweetest, most compassionate little boy I know (at least compared to his 4-year old brother!), Benjamin asked if we could deliver May Day flowers to his teachers.  *love*

I hope you had a beautiful May Day as well.  Classes ended at 2:30 for the day and our entire school (all 109 kids) formed a living rosary around Mary in the Rose Garden.  We prayed the Glorious Mysteries.  And yes…I cried.

I put together mini rose bouquets for each of my kiddos' classroom teachers.

This is how I started out my Sunday morning...

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Your kind words are appreciated! As Mother Teresa said, "Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love."
