An Introduction to New Readers

Recently, I was invited to become a contributing author over at the Association of Catholic Women Bloggers.

Since then, I've been reticent to post...fear of failure I suppose...of not living up to expectations.  Not really a "Catholic Guilt" issue...I would feel the same as as a practicing Protestant!  ;)  This is more of a "lack of self-confidence" issue.

I'm certain that the Holy Spirit guided Jackie to my blog to offer the invitation!

Anyway, I wrote this post as way of introduction and thought you might enjoy learning a few things about me that I might not have shared in the past.

Otherwise, I've been quiet here lately at her Little Ways, because of how busy I have been in day to day life.  Somehow, some way, I managed to get recruited to serve on PTO for St. Paul Catholic School.  Don't let me fool you...I LOVE being needed!  Yup, I'm a joiner!  Not necessarily a born "leader", but I am willing to step up and help out where necessary.

So, lots of extra responsibilities just got added to my parenting plate, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Oh, and I have a HUGE date with the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas tonight! A very special young lady in my life asked me to be her confirmation sponsor. Tonight, Kailey will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.  My prayer for her is that she may always be stirred by the strength and power of the Holy Spirit!

XO,

  1. I found myself serving on our PTA, without giving it a second thought. Which I am starting to think I should have.

I am delighted for you being asked to be Kailey's sponsor. What a wonderful blessing it must be for you to be there for her.

  3. Everyone has fears of not meeting expectations, but we all have something to give. And, giving of yourself is the key.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Your kind words are appreciated! As Mother Teresa said, "Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love."
