Do you know if they are Coast Guard approved? Just the simple ones they sell at Wal-Mart. We did that a few years with various kids if I was pregnant or just out numbered. It has not hurt their ability to really swim. Bagel had hers well until she was 5, but Jumba was too little for me to be able to catch both. Bagel is now one of the fastest and best swimmers in her age group in 4 different strokes on the swim team.
